The company adds a specialist in cable tray manufacturing to its portfolio, thereby reinforcing its range of comprehensive solutions for the construction market. Earlier this year, Prodac Bekaert finalized the acquisition of Sujetar, a leading company in metalworking solutions and an expert in the manufacture of materials for electrical and communications cable management.
“Sujetar is a young company with a well-established name, high quality standards, and a team that has proven itself capable of meeting the challenge of providing advisory services to an increasingly demanding market in terms of safety and installation efficiency—consolidating its experience and success,” stated Manuel Gallofré, General Manager.
Wherever there is public or private infrastructure, specialists are needed who understand that structural elements for proper functionality must be complemented by accessory products aligned with the highest quality and safety standards. “We are leaders in the manufacture of steel solutions and their derivatives, certified under ISO 140001, ISO 9001, and ISO 450001, and we are the only company in the metalworking sector recognized as an Authorized Economic Operator. With the acquisition of Sujetar, we will add NEMA and UL certifications, further reinforcing our commitment to plant safety and manufacturing under strict safety standards,” added Gallofré.
Currently, Prodac Bekaert boasts a broad portfolio serving the construction, infrastructure, industrial, mining, agricultural, and hardware sectors, maintaining a solid reputation in the markets it leads. In recent years, the company has marketed PowerTray cable basket systems, gaining valuable experience that will allow it to leverage the full potential of this acquisition. “With Sujetar, we complement our value proposition and strengthen our positioning in cable tray solutions as a complement to the construction engineering solutions we currently provide for the Infrastructure and Construction segment,” said Gallofré.
The company plans to increase current production capacity by 20% in 2023 and aims for USD 6 million in domestic sales in the medium term. Through its Building Infrastructure Unit, the company continues to focus on delivering value through integrated solutions for B2B clients, supported by specialized Technical Advisors and a strong engineering department to identify the best solutions for the specific needs of each project.
This product line will primarily target the Construction and Infrastructure sectors, where demand is concentrated in retail, housing, hospitals, plants, and warehouses, in addition to mining. As a strategic partner for companies in more than 45 countries across five continents, where it currently exports, Prodac Bekaert plans to launch this category in other markets such as Bolivia, Chile, and Ecuador.
The company remains focused on the ongoing development of better solutions for its clients and views this opportunity as part of a broader market evolution toward technology-driven solutions.
